My Meditation Challenge

So, I've been battling with negativity lately - BIG time! And I've decided that it is only hurting myself and has to stop. Stopping negativity is a lot more difficult then one would think, and along with various techniques, meditation is something I will be trying. I've never really been good at meditating. I have a short attention span for the empty because my mind is always going at ten million miles a minute. I was reading one of my favourite blogs Charmed I'm Sure, and the following steps are inspired by her way of meditating.

1. Keep it short, but do it everyday. This isn't a marathon.
2. Choose a focus. Either a sound machine, meditation CD, candle, singing bowl or mandala.
3. Meditate before bed. This will allow me to fall asleep after and as well as not feel guilty when my mind inevitably wanders.
4. Meet up with my totem guide in a place of my choosing. This will also be a good time to reenforce my magickal persona. (an internal image I created during a workshop with Raven Grimassi and Stephanie Taylor-Grimassi)
5. Allow God/dess/es and allies to join me and help me release my problems.
6. Do until sleep or until mind wanders too far.
7. Sleep

So now the challenge part: I challenge all my friends to create their own meditation rules and practice every day for one month. At the end of the month, we will all come together to compare notes and see if anything has changed. Okay, so get going!

Challenge accepted!
How exactly does one create a magickal personna? And what is it, exactly. I think I have an idea, but i'm not 100% sure.

Blessed be, Darlin'!

Sounds wonderful!! I am in! I started doing this a bunch last semester but have really fallen off the wagon so to speak. This is a great opportunity to get myself back on!
